Thomas has designed statistical and other quantitative risk-assessment models, developed project quantitative testing standards and procedures, provided expert testimony in unclaimed property litigation, prepared analytic reviews of auditor methodologies and findings, and designed compliance policies and procedures for scores of client companies undergoing unclaimed property audits since 2005.
- 12 years focused experience in unclaimed property quantitative analysis for audit defense. Thomas’ analytic reviews of auditor liability assessment methods have supported corrections and refinements in those methods, resulting in material reductions in client liability exposure.
- Extensive overall experience in unclaimed property consulting for the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy resource, and retail industries. He has provided critical support for forensic reviews, provision of compliance services, and development of policies and procedures for a diverse size and product-line mix of client companies.
- Prior to joining True Partners in January 2011, Thomas held the position of Quantitative Analyst & Systems Manager at Abandoned Property Services LLC in New York. Prior to entering the unclaimed property field Thomas worked for five years as a financial analyst for the software development project management teams of a major financial institution.
