Ross J. Valenza joined True Partners Consulting’s Tampa office as a Managing Director in 2006.  He started his career in public accounting in 1992 in the Manhattan office of Arthur Andersen as a member of the Real Estate Services group.  Ross transferred to Orlando with Arthur Andersen in 1997 and moved to Tampa with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003.  Since moving to Florida he has worked with a diverse range of clients among varying industries.

Ross is responsible for the oversight of the Southeast region of True Partners Consulting and is an active member on the firm’s Leadership committee.  Ross specializes in federal tax services. He works with both private and public companies, assisting clients in meeting their compliance obligations, along with also exploring each client’s potential tax saving opportunities. He is proficient in working with clients that maintain varying levels of internal tax expertise, outsourcing the function in its entirety for those clients without a tax department, while co-sourcing work, providing loan staff or working on a project basis with clients that do have a tax function.

Before joining True Partners, Ross was a Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. While there, he was responsible for tax compliance and consulting services for more than 40 clients and targets. Prior to PricewaterhouseCoopers, he was a Senior Tax Manager at Grant Thornton where he assisted his clients through tax planning opportunities while also acting as their main contact with the firm.

Ross spent 10 years at Arthur Andersen.  As a Senior Tax Manager, he supervised staff in Orlando, Tampa and Miami to ensure his corporate, partnership and individual clients were compliant with tax regulations, as well as consulting with them in order to minimize their tax burden.  Additionally, he gained extensive experience with Internal Revenue Service audit defense.  As a Tax Manager in New York, he was responsible for the compliance function of many large real estate funds as well as having a number of clients that were foreign, and owned their real estate investments in a corporate structure.  Additionally, he prepared and analyzed sales models for billion-dollar real estate transactions.

Ross received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Siena College and a Master’s of Science in Taxation degree from the State University of New York at Albany. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
