Timothy Nolan is a Senior Manager in True Partners Consulting’s Washington D.C. office.  He has over 12 Years of experience in public accounting and consulting combined with 14 years in industry with companies such as Bausch & Lomb, Rich Products Corporation, Unifi and Freddie Mac. His industry experience includes consumer products, manufacturing, and distribution.

Mr. Nolan is a senior tax executive with proven success in tax management, tax accounting, financial leadership, and strategic tax planning with large multinational public and private companies. He has extensive experience in risk analysis and accounting for income taxes including FAS 109, FIN 48 and FAS 5 analysis; Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance for tax functions; representation in federal, state and local tax audits including development and negotiation of tax positions for the administrative process; income Tax accounting methods including changes in accounting methods and accounting for inventories; strategic planning for domestic and international mergers and acquisitions; executive compensation including planning for stock options, deferred compensation, insurance, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans; employee benefits planning including retirement, medical and insurance plans; tax credits and incentives including research & experimentation credit, state and local development credits and grants; tax function administration including process improvement and systems implementation.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Mr. Nolan was the Regional Director—Federal Tax Lead at Hudson Financial Solutions.  While there, he led federal tax engagements in North America in such areas as FAS 109—Accounting for Income Taxes and  FIN 48—Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes.

Mr. Nolan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MSA degree in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University. He is a member of the AICPA and the North Carolina Association of CPAs.
