Stan Jozefiak is a Managing Director and a founding member of True Partners Consulting. He researches, develops and implements innovative tax strategies for multinational corporations with revenues between $50 million and more than $100 billion. He also prepares defenses for these strategies during federal and state tax examinations.

Mr. Jozefiak currently leads True Partners' Federal Tax Planning and Strategic Joint Venture practice.
He has extensive experience assisting US strategic and financial buyers in structuring business acquisitions and combinations, business divestiture planning, and financial instruments and strategies. In addition, he has assisted numerous Australian, German, and UK investors in structuring operations and other investment decisions within the U.S., and all other aspects of international taxation.

Mr. Jozefiak also has developed widespread experience in the tax treatment of various contingent liabilities and risks, including the development of tax efficient corporate structures, captive insurance companies, and other transactions designed to minimize the after-tax costs associated with the management of these liabilities and risks.

Most recently, he has expanded his practice to include assisting corporations and their Board Audit Committees in evaluating the financial and reputational risk associated with their various tax planning strategies, and then recommending, as appropriate, disclosures, audit defense strategies, business process reviews of the transaction, and exit alternatives. Stan has also consulted on several Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews of corporate tax functions and the development of process improvements to mitigate future tax exposures.

Prior to True Partners, Jozefiak spent two years as a Participating Principal at Deloitte & Touche where he was a member of the firms' National Corporate Transactions and Business Solutions Group, and served as the Partner-in-Charge of Deloitte's Captive Insurance Team.

Mr. Jozefiak spent the first 20 years of his career at Arthur Andersen. He served as a Participating Principal in Andersen's Chicago Tax Division and held leadership responsibilities for Andersen's Environmental Tax Services Practice. He also worked in several groups, including Andersen's Firmwide Corporate Transactions and Operations Group, Environmental Services Practice, and Chicago Office International Group.

Mr. Jozefiak earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Chicago, a Master of Management degree in Accounting from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Juris Doctorate from the Northwestern University School of Law. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Polish American Association Board of Directors, Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee of the Youth Camp Association, a member of both the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He has co-authored and contributed to several publications and has made numerous presentations to various industry and professional groups.
