John Boseman and John Hurst add strength to San Jose leadership team
SAN JOSE – July 22, 2008 – True Partners Consulting LLC today announced that John Boseman and John Hurst will be managing directors in the San Jose office: Boseman is new to the firm and Hurst is being promoted from a senior manager position.
“As part of our growth strategy, we continue to recruit and reward the industry’s most skillful professionals to focus on our clients’ needs,” said Cary McMillan, chief executive officer of True Partners. “I am confident Mr. Boseman will bring new energy with his experience in the research credit area, and Mr. Hurst will continue making invaluable contributions by expanding on the integral role he’s played in corporate tax planning.”
With more than 20 years of Silicon Valley-based tax experience, Boseman has worked in both the private and public accounting sectors, servicing all sizes of clients from small start-ups to large multinational corporations. His focus has been on U.S. Federal taxation, with years of experience in transfer pricing and general corporate issues related to FAS 109.
“It’s an honor to be joining the San Jose office as a managing director,” said Boseman. “I look forward to building on my expertise and integrating my talents with the existing tax and business consulting offerings of such a rapidly growing company.”
Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Boseman spent much of his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he specialized in the areas of corporate tax credits and the analysis of merger-related transaction costs. His experience includes all aspects of research credit from providing an initial scope of opportunities for his clients’ businesses, to defending the research credit before the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities.
Boseman received a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from San Jose State University.
Hurst has more than 11 years of public accounting experience, consulting on a wide variety of corporate tax planning and compliance issues, including FAS 109, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, multistate tax, international tax, and research and development credit.
“I look forward to playing a greater leadership role in providing tailored solutions to clients through my work in tax compliance issues,” said Hurst. “Together we will work to further strengthen the unique culture and solid values proposition that have been quickly established within the company.”
Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Hurst was with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an engagement manager. His clients included companies in the software, biotechnology, semiconductor, and various other multinational high-tech industries.
Hurst received from California State University in Hayward, Calif., a master’s of business administration degree and a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration.
