Mr. Ochoa is a Senior Manager in True Partners Consulting Tampa office. He has over 17 years experience in business process improvement and business process automation.

Mr. Ochoa has extensive experience in design and development of accounting and tax applications used by Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he has worked on customization and implementation of most major accounting and tax applications.  Among the applications that Joseph designed and developed were; a State Planning Application, an Exemption Certificate Management system, a Tax Audit application, a Tax Calendar. Custom applications include Tax Data Marts and the associated bridges from source systems.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Mr. Ochoa was a Senior Program Manager with Avanade Consulting, a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture. While there he worked directly with end users to determine the desired business process, document the existing process and identify strategies for migrating processes through distinct project phases. His focus was on aligning IT Strategies with Business objectives to increase the value and reduce the risk of business processes. He worked directly with software developers to create enabling technologies to solve business problems. He collaborated with System Engineers and Software Architects in designing and managing IT projects utilizing Microsoft .NET 2.0 technologies.

Before Avanade, Mr. Ochoa was a Senior Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Tax Technology Group. In his thirteen years with Arthur Andersen, he was involved in the design of most of the tax and accounting applications developed for use by Fortune 500 companies and Arthur Andersen office worldwide. During this time, he developed applications for Federal, State and Local, and International Tax applications. In addition he was involved numerous compliance process initiatives resulting in new tools and processes for tax compliance.

Prior to joining Arthur Andersen, Mr. Ochoa was the Tax Manager for Computer Associates International.

Mr. Ochoa received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Midwestern State University and is a certified Project Manager Professional. He has received specialized training in a variety of development methodologies including; Rational Unified Process, Agile, and Microsoft Solutions Framework. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and active in the Association for Computers and Taxation.  Mr. Ochoa will receive his MBA in Information Technology in January 2008.
