John Hurst is a Managing Director in True Partners Consulting’s San Jose office and has over 11 years of public accounting experience. He has consulted on a wide variety of corporate tax planning and compliance issues, including FAS 109, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, multi-state tax, international tax, and research and development credit.
Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Mr. Hurst was with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Engagement Manager. His clients include companies in the software, biotechnology, semiconductor, and various other multinational high tech industries.
Some of Mr. Hurst’s key accomplishments include managing the tax consulting and compliance services for multinational high tech companies with the largest having upwards of 46 U.S. entities and 28 foreign entities; FAS 109—both review and preparation of tax provision calculation and disclosures; intellectual property structuring; mergers and acquisitions; Section 382 studies; and tax audits.
Mr. Hurst received his Masters of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (accounting concentration) degrees from California State University, Hayward.
