Charlene W. Greene is a Managing Director for True Partners Consulting LLC and currently leads its Southern California practice based in Los Angeles, California.  She is a federal tax specialist with over 25 years of experience in tax consulting and compliance.

Ms. Greene leads the firm’s financial institution practice, specializing in banking, mortgage banking, and automobile finance and leasing.  She has extensive experience with the acquisition and servicing of deeply discounted debt instruments, including U.S. investments in foreign debt. 

Ms. Greene focuses on middle market companies and public companies in a variety of industries, including banking, real estate, and oil and gas.  Her experience includes consulting on corporate mergers and acquisitions, Section 382 studies, cancellation of debt, FAS 109—Accounting for Income Taxes, FIN 48, and FAS 123R.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Ms. Greene served as a Managing Director at RSM McGladrey, Inc. where she led their Southern California financial institution tax practice.  Prior to McGladrey, she was a Principal in the corporate tax and business advisory division of Arthur Andersen’s Los Angeles office where she spent 20 years serving mid-size to large corporate clients and was a member of the Firmwide Financial Institution Tax Team.

Ms. Greene received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  She is a frequent speaker at banking conferences, including the Annual Bank Tax Institute.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPAs, and the Texas Society of CPAs.
